# Members & Invites

> How to invite people to your workspace and manage who has access.

## Inviting someone

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Team">
    Click **Team** in the navigation, then **Invites**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create an invite">
    Click **Invite** and enter the person's email address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set their access">
    Choose the permission set they should get. See [Roles & Permissions](/team/roles-permissions).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send it, or copy the link">
    Send the invite by email, or copy the link to share it yourself through Slack or another channel.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  **Invite links expire 72 hours after they are created.** If someone reports an expired link, create a new invite rather than resending the old one.
</Warning>

## What happens when they accept

1. They open the invite link.
2. If they already have a Superhawk account, they sign in and join your workspace.
3. If they do not, they create one first and are then added automatically.

An invite is tied to the workspace it was created in. Accepting adds them to that workspace, whatever other workspaces they belong to.

## Managing members

**Team → Members** lists everyone in the workspace, their permission set, and their team.

From here you can change someone's permission set, move them between teams, and remove them.

## Removing someone

Removing a member revokes their access to the workspace immediately. They lose visibility of every account, signal, task, and report in it.

<Note>
  Removing a member does not delete anything they created. Their tasks, comments, and reports remain, attributed to them.
</Note>

## Transferring ownership

Every workspace has exactly one owner. Ownership can be transferred to another member, and the transfer is recorded in the audit log. Do this before an owner leaves the company rather than after.
